Scenic photography poses a tremendous challenge – I’ve always felt that the beauty of a place/scene is impossible to truly capture with a camera.  When you are ‘in’ a place, it’s all around you…you smell it, you hear it.  I consider scenic images to be snapshot reminders of how sunsets make you stop and breathe, for instance.  I am a tangible feeler, and I do believe that places have to be felt, smelled, and heard.  However, scenic vignettes accompany an explanation or memory of a location once visited, serving as a visual reminder.
